Outreach team

Team Convenor: Malcolm Campbell The motivation and purpose of the Outreach Team is “To help our neighbours by sharing God’s love, on a local, regional and international basis.” We accept this biblical challenge to put into action the words of Jesus “To love your neighbour as yourself” and believe assisting those in need strengthens our relationship with God. The Team’s responsibilities include developing, implementing and reviewing plans for the outreach mission of the Congregation and communicating information on mission & outreach activities / events. They also approve outreach focused fund raising events and make recommendations to the Church Council concerning local, Australian and overseas missions as well as provide oversight and action as necessary to meet community outreach needs and a referral process for crisis management of local families/individuals. In undertaking this role they also interact appropriately & caringly with individuals and/or communities in need. The Group also oversees the following programs which reach out to the wider community:
  • Food Pantry
  • Wider Church Auxiliaries
  • International mission
  • Refugee Support
  • Reconciliation Action Plan
